There were occasions I would go to a rough neighborhood (armed, of course) to get cheap gas. I can't even do that anymore. The lowest gas prices I've seen is at Sams Club, and I'm not a member.
And someone came along and said you were wrong, see how that works. They think that gasbuddy is infallible. I was out an hour ago and gasbuddy had several stations wrong. I can make a two mile loop and pass all 8 stations in this small town.
Not everyone is hurting. People in the oil industry should be doing very well.
I invested in some oil shares thinking it would help bounce back my portfolio. Didn't work very well. If you don't directly work for the oil industry, it doesn't help you.
Many, many years ago, I mentioned that we needed to get ready to not be so dependent on oil. I never said "stop using oil". I said we need to invested improving alternatives, especially for cars. This was back in 2006. 16 years later, we are still heavily depended on oil. I realize that the way things are, it's not going to change.

Honestly, I don’t give a fig what some internet troll thinks! I know what we paid in an OKC suburb, to be exact- Edmond- on our way to Wichita this morning. $4.10.

I made more money than that over the last 24 hours driving Door Dash. And this is AFTER factoring in buying gasoline. I have a feeling that any investing I want to do in the next month, oil won't be part of it.
