[quote=Oldglory;63119547]"Anyone who doesn't look like you"? I get so sick of hearing that! Why is the race card pulled every time someone objects to having more foreigners in our country? Race and skin color isn't the issue but clashing cultures, economic migrants who are a burden, etc. are.
I doubt that Ukranian refugees are bringing in fentanyl, MS-13, etc.
My question was though, how does it just happen that so many of these refugees, asylum seekers, illegal aliens just happen to have family in the U.S.?

Those relatives matter only when they sign affidavits promising to cover all expenses of the new immigrants. When an immigrant gets food stamps, the relative pays for food stamps, etc.
People are not stupid. They sign immigration affidavits only when they bring the closest relatives like a wife or parents.

So what? We still should limit the number of refugees we allow into our country.
In line with that, I’ve read a few stories about Russians who left Russia because of the war. They seem to be young, educated, not brainwashed by Putin, and definitely not unemployed in Russia.
As far as Ukraine is concerned, one comment I read about a month ago by a Canadian living in Ukraine was that the area around Kyiv was known as the Silicon Valley of Ukraine. In other words, there are/were some very talented residents living there.
Russia has a terrible future, sanctions that are bringing the country to its knees economically and population loss with a large brain drain.

Again, I was just wondering how all these refugees, asylum seeker, etc. no matter where they are from just happen to have relatives here in the U.S. It's just odd to me. I'm sure many of those from south of our border have relatives here illegally already and in that case they shouldn't be allowed to sponsor their relatives in their homeland seeking entry into our country.
Calling the people who lost their homes and perhaps some family members "hordes" is disrespectful. They are not invading anyone. I surely hope none of us would be in that situation.
Well, you didn’t hear that from me. Who set you off?
It was you! Re-read your post #35.
