BLM, burn, loot, murder, was an act of domestic terrorism (which is defined as: the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims).
This is about the violent riot on May 30/31, 2020 around the White House.
If the Govt becomes tyrannical, its the citizens duty to remove it from power, so technically speaking, ANY attempt to 'disrupt' or cause problems...is an attempt to stop or thwart tyranny...
Regarding the 'violence'...the American Revolution was extremely brutal, and it was against their own govt at the time, Everyone says violence should never be brought into politics, but we turn around and celebrate that very thing in how our own country was formed. LOL
Looking at a lot of responses so far, it is obvious that many people are hypnotized by the LIES OF OMISSION from the MSM as most don't even know what the OP is talking about.
It interfered with the peaceful transfer of power which is one of the key things that defines this country.
As a lifelong Republican, I will not vote for any Republican who supports the trash that participated in it or supports Trump who incited it.

There are always multiple injuries to law enforcement officers during riots and mostly peaceful protests. But in most of those it doesn’t fit the narrative so that info is glossed over.
Does the following event meet the dictionary definition of insurrection?
Facts:
-Over 60 Secret Service Members injured by violent rioters.
-The 60+ Secret Service members were injured from rocks thrown, bricks thrown, commercial grade fireworks launched at them, thrown glass bottles, thrown filled plastic bottles, kicked, punched, spit, and feces.
-Molotov cocktails were thrown.
-11 Secret Service members were hospitalized.
-6 Secret Service vehicles were trashed.
-Many rioters screamed that they were going to remove the president from power.
-Some rioters burned American flags.
-The first perimeter of the White House was breached illegally.
-Multiple fires outside the White House were started including a guard house that was set on fire by the violent rioters.
-Received threats of car bombs at the White House perimeter.
-A historic church nearby the White House also had a small fire set in it.
-Only 1 arrest from that night (6 from the protests around the White House the night before the violent riot in question).
-The President was placed in a safety shelter.
-The US Military was called in to take control of the situation.
-Mainstream Media largely downplayed and often labeled it as a "protest."

On the other hand, the riot on our capitol was all about attacking our government and threatening the members, because they didn't like how the election turned out. This was an attack on our democracy.

Well you got me. Of course, no one is calling May 30/31 an insurrection so more like you were intentionally trying to mislead people which is a frequent characteristics of your posts.
I don't support either group or anyone using violence or destruction of property as a form of protest or civil disobedience.
But, like I said, I don't need to label it insurrection relative to Jan 6 or even May 30/31 to say that in the first incidence Trump incited it and in the second he and his people probably made it worse. His posturing with a bible was ridiculous.

The people who interfered with the peaceful transfer were Obama and his cronies. They spied on the Trump campaign both before and after he was in the WH in case you haven't heard.
