He said he rode to Ohio with a trucker when he was a young senator but also drove the trucker's 18 wheeler for awhile. Both can be true - ride along and drive on the same trip. It was a long trip and the truck had a load. Take a look at the WH transcript. He explained why he had the license.

The sad thing is, even after his false tales are called out and proven to have been lies, he forgets that, and repeats them again. He's being shielded from the truth and doesn't realize how many times the press has repeated that his fanciful exaggerations are lies.
Until listening to her speak, I've never heard anyone who can spend ten minutes blurting out a hundred paragraphs of ten-dollar words monotonically and say absolutely nothing that makes any sense at all.
