What does the NRA have to do with criminals breaking the law ? I've been an NRA member before and I've never heard them push to break laws and to randomly kill people. It's been a few years, did the NRA change or something ?

They are a tool for killing. People will use tools to stop arguments and fights.
Millions of people solve arguments and fights daily without resorting to killing one another. Also millions of people are firearms owners and their firearms have never killed another human. A firearm doesn't make a killer out of someone. That is the persons choice to make on their own.

Unless it's a cop taking down a criminal. Then it's always the cops fault.

For the most part these shootings involve drug gangs using illegal guns.

What you're doing is actually carrying water for the people that don't want to address the expensive and sensitive underlying socio-economics and instead blame an easy target, their political rivals.

Article blames "ease of gun access". Heck there is ease of gun access all across "NRa country" and they have gun violence as a fraction of the areas playing the blame game.

Oh wait, maybe if we just made those drugs illegal they wouldn't be able to have money to buy guns! Thus full circle, the ridiculous argument that restricting guns will keep them out of the hands of the most prominent offenders.

It isn't their job to stop the violence. They carry a firearm to protect their family and their own lives. They don't go out looking for trouble and interject themselves where violence typically happens.

What used to be two guys arguing over a girl ending in a bloody nose has turned into one guy shooting at the other and 20 other people pulling out guns and joining in. Just too, too many guns out there in the hands of hothead kids and irresponsible people. And it gets worse by the day.

Tell it to the anti gun democrats. They willingly sacrifice innocent lives to achieve a theoretical goal of no private gun ownership.

they restrict law abiding gun owners who collectively are not committing the mass murders we see in places like chicago and detroit every week.

Two shootings thay come nowhere near the bodies piling up in cities, mostly BonB murders. Not a peep about the larger volume of killings, just those where the antis can make hay of private gun ownership.

Defund the police, lie about the police hunting blacks, endorse terrorists org BLM who advocated killing cops, decimate the police force with retirements, lose experienced officers, take away protections for cops, no cash bail, burning cities called peaceful protests, shooter released with ankle bracelet.... open the southern border to gangs, drugs and terrorists, release felons due to covid??????????? idiot parole boards and far left prosecutors and judges, 911 calls selectively responded to in some cities where the left has forced police out of service.... and you blame guns??????????????????????????? That line of reasoning is costing the lives of thousands of innocents.

and you make snide remarks about good guys with guns???????????????????????????

Why do the democrats hate black people and tolerate their mass murders each week in the most notorious cities.

Why did obama lie about the safest places have the strictest gun laws... if true the streets of maine woud be awash in blood and Chicago would be a peaceful sanctuary for all to enjoy.

Why did obama lie and the media refused to challenge his lie?

CO diane degette demonstrates she is unfamiliar with firearms and yet leads a the anti firearm committee. Classic dem move to make someone alien to the issue, a prime committee member.

Since a disproportionate number of shootings happen on Friday and Saturday, I have a great idea.

We get rid of those days and just make all the other days 9.6 hours longer.

Problem solved.

Anyone opposing this is of course to blame for not supporting this common sense legislation that will render drug gangs unable to shoot one another as much. (previously noted most urban areas state about 75% of gun violence is drugs\gangs)

I'd like everyone in dangerous neighborhoods to know that i'm on their side and doing everything I can to fix this problem using absolutely no real resources or effort. They should know that it would have solved everything if only my political rivals had not stopped my suggestion.

NRA supports lawful gun ownership, which a large majority of gun owning Americans are, tougher laws and longer sentences can help prevent these crimes. Blame your liberal prosecutors and judges who led these animals back on the street with no or low bail and short, lenient sentences.
