Welp, I can't rep you again, but that was my very first thought.
My second thought was, 'How many times do Dems have to do this before people finally catch on?'
They create a problem, blame someone else, and then pretend to come up with a solution that sounds good, until you actually go further than those initial words. And the Dems know that people will not dig deeper. All they hear is, 'We're trying to save you from having to pay so much at the pumps. We totally care about you, really. Like, I mean, we really, really do. Now vote for us, again.'
And/or:
They push a bill that they know damn good and well isn't going to pass, and when it doesn't, they point the finger at the Republican party, and tell the people, "You see? It isn't us! It's them! They are the reason you can't have nice things. We tried, and they said 'No'. It's not our fault. Now, if you just keep voting for us, we'll make things better. We promise. Pinky swear, and everything!"
I'll say it again: Almost every last Dem in politics doesn't care about you. The majority of the Republicans don't care about you. We have very few Representatives/Senators who DO actually care. A couple on the left, a handful on the right, but the rest? They. Don't. Care. About. You. and they will lie, and lie, and lie again straight to your face, and you all keep falling for it.
Absolutely right. Your post is spot on. That's their game. And sadly, it has worked for them way, way too many times.
Absolutely. Independence means not getting it from Canada too. That doesn't happen instantly, it would take planning, something no administration is ever good at.
So what should we do now to stop prices rising further?
The "now" is not as important as the "then".
The policies he has had in place since he took office, and statements he made even before he took office are the issue. Just imagine how much better off we would be if you took this "what about now" attitude "then".
In a sense, this is both figuratively, and literally raping the planet for profit(and destroying ecosystems).
Roflmao. The planet has been around far longer than humans have been on it, and will continue to be around and clean itself out long after climate change communists have starved themselves to death.

There's nothing that can be done about climate change, assuming it even exists. Get over it. Crying over something that you can't do anything about is not productive.

Also, what exact policies caused the oil price to explode? I keep reading it's the president's fault, but I don't think he has any authority over OPEC.
does POTUS have authority over OPEC...no
but... this current POTUS took us from being almost oil independent, to being back to being dependent
this current POTUS stopped the Canadian pipeline extension that would have fed our reserves
this current POTUS allowed the russian pipeline, back in 2021, that the Ukraine President stated at the time that Biden was making it possible for Russia to invade, with that action.
as soon as he got in, this current POTUS, signed an executive order temporarily(temp now over a year) suspending new oil and gas leases on federal lands.
this current POTUS just canceled oil and gas lease sales in Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico, that would have helped the USA
the problems we are having (high inflation, wages decreasing, high oil prices, high utility prices) all stem from the left....and Biden is the head of the left...as Truman once said "the buck stops here"
What about future generations? What's in it for them? After we're done wrecking everything, what do we leave for our grandkids?
They'll figure it out.

Climate nazis have been screaming radioactive winter and peak oil for the past 50 years. We're still here, the weather's fine save a few random days of erratic weather patterns, and oil hasn't peaked. Find something else to scream about.

Nancy Pelosi, who is older than Biden, is proposing price controls. She wants it to be illegal to raise gasoline prices.
Does this genius know what will happen to supply?
Look at Venezuela that her friend Bernie praised as being better than the USA for the American dream, they implemented price controls and supply shortages worsened.
Gas companies prioritize their investors. They refuse to take a haircut to keep things stable here. Their entire purpose is to make money. Why should we bend to the will of oil companies?
They lost tens of billions during the Covid years.
You know, supply and demand?
So now that demand is up, you want them to magically stabilize prices that they couldn't do when losing billions.
So there is demand, that's you and me.
Supply, that's the oil companies, but remember their product is destroying everything and they're evil (your points) so the govt. is passing laws aimed at the eventual banning of them...but you want them to be able to just ramp up supply to meet your needs.
You need to find some better youtube sources and educate yourself.
