Doesn't seem to exhaust our resources much since we keep sending "resources" to whoever needs it.
Some countries do seem to feel threatened. Like Syria. China. Russia. I am not worried about what they think.

Russian President Vladimir Putin continued to manifest concern over potential threats that the Wagner Group and its financier Yevgeny Prigozhin may pose during an impromptu two-day extension of Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko’s visit to St. Petersburg. BBC’s Russian Service reported on July 25 that Putin told Lukashenko at the beginning of their July 23 meeting that Putin was ready to adjust his schedule to prolong Lukashenko’s visit and “discuss important topics in more detail.” Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov reported on July 25 that Putin and Lukashenko intended to “’synchronize watches’ and exchange views” but not sign any agreements during their prolonged meeting. Peskov also reported that Putin and Lukashenko discussed the Wagner Group, the Union State, and external threats on the borders of Russia and Belarus. Putin’s decision to prolong his meeting with Lukashenko likely shows Putin’s continued concerns about Wagner, which it appears that Lukashenko did not allay.

The Russian government has extended the deadline for rebuilding the Crimean bridge until December 31, 2023 Earlier it was reported that the bridge will be rebuilt within a month, later they revised the terms and announced November, now the new deadline is the end of 2023.
It will very probably be hit again before then. I wouldn't be surprised to see that it is just a string of disconnected rubble by December.
Can't say as I care one way or the other about those things.

American and former Marine Trevor Reed was deemed wrongfully detained by Russia and released in April 2022 in a prisoner swap. He allegedly injured a Russian cop while drunk back in 2019. I guess he wanted revenge on Russia.
We gave up a convicted Russian drug smuggler in exchange for him.
He just got injured volunteering in Ukraine, not sure how bad, but at least he wasn't captured by the Russians again.
Interestingly, he allegedly wants more US help for Ukraine, but also wanted to complain about how Ukraine treated him and wouldn't let him out of his contract to fight even after his wounding. Biden didn't want bad Ukraine PR, so he helped get Reed released.
Romania is in NATO, maybe hopefully we can finally get WWIII!
