Could “tough on crime” politicians exist if there’s no crime? Out of all these school shootings how many of the children are the children of politicians? That’s why it won’t get fixed.

Children getting aborted in Texas is more important than children getting shot in the same state because “mUh fREedOms”.
Quick, tell us how much the gun lobbyists contribute. (It's not a big number, someone like Gates etc. would consider it pocket change.)

Then what's the REAL reason you ask? The Senate. Look at this map and notice the blue dot in Montana? Wisconsin? Or the two blue dots in MI or CO?

If those democratic senators in rural states with lots of hunters etc. vote in a gun ban, they're toast and the Democrats don't want to lose multiple Senate seats.

No they couldn’t because again, money rules over parties and everything you said. There’s too much and business in the problems continuing than stopping.

Let’s say a Democrat proposed the laws you mentioned. Are you saying Republicans would just say “sure. Let’s do it!”

The blood of 19 children and 2 adults is on THEIR hand, no? They claim to have the solution to the problem. Why have they done nothing?
That's the typical response....blame the government for something someone did.

Ronald Reagan was a liberal? This is news to me.

I agree with you. But the Democrats don't. They claim to know how to solve this problem, but are adamantly refusing to pass laws to do so. Why is that? What are they hiding? Why are they blaming people like us who do have solutions?

It's not entirely clear if any of those restrictions would pass the scrutiny of Supreme Court.

The Mental Health Systems Act of 1980 (MHSA) was United States legislation signed by President Jimmy Carter which provided grants to community mental health centers, which supported and financed community mental health support systems, coordinated general health care, mental health care, and social support services.

In 1981 President Ronald Reagan, who had made major efforts during his Governorship to reduce funding and enlistment for California mental institutions, pushed a political effort through the U.S. Congress -- The Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981, signed by President Ronald Reagan on August 13, 1981, repealed most of the MHSA.

Look at the link above and notice MOST of the programs to address mental health issues are sponsored by democrats. The main funders of mental health advocacy are usually left-wing.

Here’s a thought. If the shooter of 19 kids was aborted would he have been alive to go and do it?
If Democrats really cared about mental health, why aren't they passing laws to help the mentally ill. They have control of Congress and Presidency, yet are stubbornly refusing to do anything. Why do they and you keep blaming the Republicans?

It was pushed on him just like amnesty with great promises for the future which never materialized.

Bills originate in Congress.....
