Kids are shocked today to hear that Black people owned slaves before the Civil War, even more shocked to hear there were free Black people living in the US.
I never paid much attention in history class back in school. Growing up, my Dad told me the following:

love many trust few always paddle your own canoe.

Iranians do not shower (I was 9 years old and asked why he was renting out his small commercial property to a person to live in when there was no shower)

our new next door neighbors are lesbians, they are very nice people.

there is an a**ho*e in every race.

watch out for vans jenny because perverts' drive vans

Always vote Rhino bc they are capitalist's.

The donkey's like handouts, like free bricks of American cheese, get in line lol

Do not be racist. Hate everyone equally.

Don't do it the Pollack way

Not all is the is proof to what I said. Thank you for admitting it, and there’s zero reason to teach otherwise.

Lol. It has nothing to do with being defensive. You want to teach children something that isn’t true.

That's not entirely true. We are responsible for US government debt incurred before we were born and before we were old enough to vote.

I think a lot of the mental health issues we are seeing have to do with our toxic work culture. A lot of my coworkers "work through lunch" or have "brown bag" events and work until 6pm to get the job done. And then you have people who work full time and get paid hourly and can't even afford a 1br apartment in their area.
