Originally McCarthy wanted to know all the facts on Jan 11, now he has changed his tune. This should have been on the Fox News channel not the business channel but I assume that would be embarrassing for Hannity and Ingraham hearing their own comments on Jan 6 from the record.

You haven’t even heard the hearing but it’s a sham, you are free to share your criticism after the hearing and final report. McCarthy could have added people to the committee, he didn’t even want a committee.
This is on a level with Nixon, probably worse in many respects.

I said that the committee is a sham and they have no credibility. Obviously the hearing hasn’t happened yet, but I’m sure the theatrics coming from Adam Schiff and the like will be over the top. People like Adam Schiff and dumb-as-a-brick Bennie Thompson don’t exactly instill confidence.
And McCarthy appointed people to the committee, but they were rejected by Nancy Pelosi, for political reasons.

They don’t care about finding facts or “getting to the bottom of what happened,” they only care about politicizing January 6 and keeping it in the news for as long as they can for political purposes, even though most people don’t care about January 6 anymore.

In fairness, the Democrats have done nothing in the last half a decade to engender trust. The likelihood of anything they do being aboveboard and legitimate is highly questionable, because they haven’t done anything aboveboard and legitimate since circa 2016 and they’ve been blatantly obvious in their lies.

They were rejected because McCarthy nominated them with the idea they would serve as spies on the inside of the proceedings so the republicans could think of a defense in real time. Pelosi did good.
