They want to talk to Nancy Pelosi, because they believe that she denied LE help that was offered in the days leading up to the insurrection as part of a conspiracy to set up the insurrection to make Trump look bad.
Huge, if true.
That would be a whole other issue associated with Jan 6. Yes, I would also like to know why the Capitol Police were so unprepared. It wasn't fair to them.
But how many times have I read that Nancy is not in charge of the Capitol Police? I don't think that is an avenue worth pursuing.

Politifact fact checked a comment that said Pelosi was the "only" person who is responsible for the security decisions at the Capitol. Politifact says that while she IS responsible for security decisions, she is not solely responsible, so they deemed that comment false.

The post is wrong: Security at the 1.5 million-square-foot U.S. Capitol building does not fall solely to the speaker. Though Pelosi does have a role in the hierarchy overseeing security, there is no indication she controls its day-to-day operations.
Does planning security for a riot or for the threat of a riot fall under the umbrella of a "day-to-day operation"? I strongly doubt that it does, it is something that is above and beyond the simple "day-to-day operations". And that would mean that Pelosi did have a say in the security for that particular day.
Sund had kept his ear to the ground and got a feeling that things would turn bad. He went to Pelosi through Irving a number of times and was shot down on his request for the NG, because of "optics". How stupid is that?
LOL. You haven’t noticed it’s all prosecution no defense? That is called one-sided.
But then again it’s the Russian collusion squad running the show (as in theatrical production) so it’s kinda funny in any case.
???
There is no prosecution going on here. These are fact finding hearings, and Trump's own people are the ones providing the facts. You can watch them on video and live in the televised hearings. The Committee itself is not simply making this stuff up. They aren't Fox or Newsmax.
The question was: Can they trust the findings of the Jan 6 panel?
The answer, still obvious: They don't need to trust the findings of the panel. They can observe with their own eyes what participants, eyewitnesses and realtime audio/video tell them.
Since Dc is its own government- not part of Maryland. The directives to call in the Ng falls squarely on the US president. Fact check that.
It's my opinion that the then leader wanted less security . As clearly shown by waiting 3-4 hours into the upheaval to render any aide to political staff and members in that $hit storm. It was v.p pence that put forth an order ( I may be wrong on that... Still fact checking... ).
