What's the difference? If we had to get it from these sources in order to keep prices down, then yes, we relied on importing.

Maybe because Orange Man keeps himself in the political center of his entire party and may be running for president in two years? (shrug)

Obama seems to be doing just fine during the recession.
You sure are obsessed with the guy 3 presidents ago. At least the Trump obsessed are in the current decade.

Oh, wait. That's right! Solyndra went bankrupt.
Propane is methane gas that's been refined and concentrated. When burned the exhaust is nothing but water vapor with slight traces of the other stuff that's in oil and coal.

Oil gives off methane as a natural by-product and methane is also formed beneath the earth's mantle. Coal deposits have lots of large methane pockets in them.

It's used on farms for implement and tractor fuel, and can be used for heating spaces and generating electricity. Since methane collects naturally from plant decay, a vineyard could collect it's own fuel if it has pits and devices made for that purpose.

Manure also generates methane, and manure pits can become collectors too.

Methane can also be liquified, so large transport of the gas can be accomplished.

It's a viable fuel alternative for some industries, just as solar, wind, geothermal, and tidal forces are. It's clean burning but the storage is bulky. Processing isn't as expensive as crude oil, but it's more expensive than solar on a small scale.

More dependable than solar though, when used for power generation, especially in northern latitudes, and especially during the winter months.

Yeah and Barely Obama is pulling the strings of the brainless marionette currently laying waste to the formerly great United States. A far greater and immediate concern than who might run for President in two years.

Gas For Me But Not For Thee: Obama To Install Massive Propane Tanks In New England Mansion

Former President Barack Obama has ordered three massive propane tanks for his Martha’s Vineyard property as energy prices nationwide continue to surge.

The office of the select board of Edgartown, Massachusetts, told The Daily Caller News Foundation that an application for an “underground propane installment was approved at the 79 Turkeyland Cove Road address,” the location of a property owned by former President Barack Obama. The tanks are to be used for “residential purposes,” the office told TheDCNF, and have a total capacity approved of “2,500 gallons which was broken into two 1,000 gallon tanks and one 500 gallon tank.”

So what?
The last President who relied on his retirement salary all his life was Harry Truman.

All the others since Truman were fairly wealthy to extremely wealthy before they were elected. In Obama's case, his best-selling autobiography substantially elevated his income, and Obamas have always been a thrifty couple. (As most Presidents are.)

But if Mike Pence is elected, he'll be the first since Truman who will in similar financial shape afterward. The times have changed, so Pence would receive a much higher retirement allowance.
But when Mike Pence was elected VP, he sold his only house to move to D.C., and never had a residence again until recently. During his term, he had no home of his own in his native state.
