Yes, it's overboard and tiresome. I mentioned this in another thread: I recently saw a sign in the window of a shoe store that said "Say Gay." So I said it, and then I laughed at how ridiculous this has all become.
And I really miss the time when rainbows were just sweet and non-political.
I have nothing against gays, just as I have nothing against red-headed parakeet owners. But if I had to endure a month of being reminded how special and important red-headed parakeet owners are, I'd be ready to ship them all to Siberia, along with their &%!@ parakeets.
