People running around afraid they are going to get shot, so they too have to get a gun to do some shooting of their own. Then people that have too much money have to buy bigger and more deadly guns to feel more powerful. You wanna go hunting, get a hunting rifle or cross bow, not an AK-74.

You cannot say law abiding citizens are not capable of using a fire arm inappropriately. One angry outburst, painful breakup, or suicidal thought and oooops, you are no longer a law abiding citizen. Pulled the trigger and no chance to change your mind at the last minute. It's done and over with.
The only reason to have a gun is to keep from being shot? Interesting premise. Wrong, but interesting. I know a lot of women who carry a firearm that are far more worried about muggers, rapists, and stalkers than they are about someone else having a firearm. Why do you want them to be disarmed?

These Gun Reforms Could Save 15,000 Lives. We Can Achieve Them.
We know that gun safety is not a hopeless task, because just about every other country manages to do better. The Onion satirical website regularly responds to mass shootings with a headline: “‘No Way to Prevent This,’ Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens.” It has a point.
The result of our paralysis is that just since 1975, more Americans have died from guns — including suicides, murders and accidents — than in all the wars in United States history, going back to the American Revolution.

1. Suicide is suicide. Gun or whatnot it's well...their body their choice but not if politically useful to include in statistics eh?

2. The other HUGE category is drug gangs which are commonly cited as being at least 75% of all urban shootings.

So, the proposed solution from 2020 has been less policing. How has that worked out? Crime and shooting spikes? Reversals of policy in some cities?

I'm absolutely fascinated on how you intended to disarm the people doing most of the shooting without being a complete and total sell-out to 2020?

Oh wait, that's right, this is just a distractionary blame game like what has been going on for decades to blame social issues in large urban areas on ANYBODY BUT THEM.

In CA you can't hunt with a cross bow in bow season unless you are disabled. Are you disabled? In CA a women can file for a restraining order from a dangerous X but she can't protect herself because of the stupid laws like a ten day wait period. What exactly, do you have against women protecting themselves?

Roughy 20K gun related killings last year. That figure also includes justified homicides.

Over 107K overdose deaths from fentanyl last year.

Which is the bigger problem? While Brandon allows drug traffickers to cross our borders with impunity.

In this case, we don't have a gun problem. We have a mental health crisis in America.

What is an AK-74? And the AR 15 is the most popular hunting rifle in the country.

74 was an actual assault RIFLE for many countries that copied the ballistics of the 5.56 round. Obviously not everyone has one here in the US. It's a choked down 7.62 x39. Very good ballistics.

Russia has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. It's more difficult to get a gun in Russia than in the USA. Another country with one of the highest suicide rates in the world is Mozambique. In Mozambique, most people are too poor to buy a gun. In both countries, hanging is a common method of suicide. In Mozambique, ingesting of poison happens alot. Russia has severe issues with alcohol abuse.

Scaling back police hasn't helped at all. Things were already back before the reduction of police.

Blaming guns just makes it easier to avoid talking about other problems.

The US is 22nd in the world. Many of those with worse rates control guns. Australia has a high rate and gun ownership is severely limited there.

nonsensical really, if you try to decipher the first post.

I mean, Covid has killed more than guns since 1975 I assume, given leftist's proclamations of the death toll vs wars.

Are we going to outlaw Covid? It would be about as easy.
