Of course, the prevailing conservative take on Sex Ed is abstinence-only which has demonstrably failed again and again - but it's such a great platform for moralistic grandstanding!
As the MAP teacher salivates looking around the room for their next pedophilic conquest.

Hmmm ... Jessica seemed interested in THAT ....

NONE of this has any place in the classroom.

If a guy in the park started talking to preteen/teen girls about PORN ... what do think would happen?

Oh the irony. From the poster who didn't even watch the videos or read my OP. But is outraged.

What's the point of a teacher who teaches about porn?

What does that say about the TEACHER? That they literally want to talk about porn with minors? Nothing weird there? Seems normal?

It's a legit concern. I pay attention. Don't you?

You found one company

Maybe your teachers.

One story claims that Idaho is using it, but I don't know whether that is true.
So you really can't report positively that any school system is doing this?

You just thought this would be good fodder for your echo chamber to make believe that someone on the "left" is doing something you don't like. Okay, we get it.

No, I won't go view the videos to increase the click count on their site. You have done that enough.

My post is accurate.

If you can't be bothered to here the instructors described it and why it's important for kids to talk about porn, that's on you.

You like this? Think minors should be talking about porn with adults who are an authority figure? I look forward to your answer.

These pedophile "MAP" sexual deviant teachers are trying to legitimize their perversions by teaching kids that it is okay. If it can be taught as fact like math and science then it must be okay. If a generation of school kids can be convinced that it is okay, then society with think it is okay.

1. Bother to watch the videos of the instructors discussing why porn literacy is important for kids. so they learn critical thinking skills.

2. The part of MY ORIGINAL POST where I stated EXPLICITY that some stories were claiming it was in Idaho schools, but I could not confirm that.

Please absorb the topic of the thread before firing off a completely uninformed post.

WATCH THE VIDEOS
Nope, you're wrong. I watched and this is just nonsense designed to outrage gullible conservatives.

Starting a thread (in which you insult straight off the bat by asking “leftists” to respond and defend your outrage de jour) and subsequently goading, berating and spreading nefarious implications about people who answer you is really poor form.

Sex Ed has a teacher talking about sex with children. I mean, pretty much by definition.

Can we agree on the following 3 things?
  1. Porn exists.
  2. Teen-aged kids will access porn.
  3. Porn can leave the viewer with a very skewed idea of what a healthy sex life is.

Agreed?

The question is, do we try to equip teen-aged kids with some sort of counterweight, to filter the rather extreme impressions that porn tries to impart?
