The problem POTUS trump had was not having his supervisors use the tools available to verify citizenship. E Verify checks papers, not people. And many times those papers are fake or stolen. DH had to put on an additional payroll clerk to check the citizenship of the people hired by subcontractors.

Yes he always ensures he has enough separation from whatever violation to not be held accountable, including employees, business deals, or anything he says on social media. Its never his fault...
A couple of things - that article is ten years old, from a minor TV station in Indianapolis. None of the links in it are still functional, so there is no way to investigate the back story.
Do you have a link to any data that is more current and searchable? I'm not saying it's true or false, simply that a single source is always suspect without examination.
Remember, too, that illegal aliens file for refundable tax credits using stolen SS#s and the IRS does absolutely nothing about it. They don't even have to inform anyone that another person is illegally using their SS#.

He was using e-verify on all of his properties except his golf courses. However, since fraud occurred with these illegals he uses e-verify on all of his properties now even though he is not required by law to do so. Give credit where credit is due. Better late than never.
The problem is that the Democrats will not sign an e-verify law so many times the employers get fooled by fake or stolen documents. Under Trump several business owners were held accountable. What's an undocumented immigrant anyhow?
It's not only jobs that bring them here but birthright citizenship for their kids, benefits and the constant promises of amnesty from the Democrats. The Democrats don't wish to fix any of that and won't finish the wall either.
There is no excuse for violating our labor and immigration laws no matter how you want to spin it. Using a fake or stolen SS# is committing felony ID theft and it matters not how hard they seem to work either. It IS a one way street! Using someone else's SS # can put the real owner in a world of hurt but it's ok because SS taxes are being put into the fund? Illegals do not support a strong economy when they steal jobs, taxes and resources from Americans. Their social costs are over $100 billion a year and they do send billions out of our country not spent in our economy.
Which means their labor generated ten or more times that amount that stayed right here.

He owns the place. If the illegals were working at MAL, lock him up, not the one who hired them. THAT is how you address the issue if you really want results.

Some states will just turn to prison labor to make up the shortfall. The average American citizen won't do such harsh labor under certain wages. If picking fruit pays as much as working in a warehouse lifting boxes, the average American will go work at a warehouse. Prison labor, you can pay them peanuts.
