That would actually be a great balance of power. I don't like her anti gun and border stance but other than that, she seems like a reasonable, rational politician.
Compared to other WOKE leftist democrats, Gabbard was a moderate on both of those matters. Yes, she has voted for anti-2nd Amendment bills in the past, but she should not be judged on her past voting record. Overall, I'm glad she no longer is a democrat and I can't blame her for leaving a political party that stands for the destruction of the principles and the foundation our nation was built on.
I wasn't following her on open borders but here's a 2020 video clip that might clarify her stance.
Now she gets to make the rounds on every conservative talk show, tv, podcast, stream, etc. and reel in the money. She can write a book too.

Always been a publicity hound making a trip to visit Assad, appearing multiple times on Fox News to bash Obama so she never shied away from the spotlight. Nothing new to appear on conservative shows like Fox News, might be a good fit with some of her conspiracy theories.
She has done some good things, apologized for her Anti-LGBTQ early on, very interesting personality and it doesn't hurt that she is pleasing to the eye.
No gain, she was never a republican. She's a Bernie Sanders supporter.

it's also possible to applaud her statements - which were spot-on - and her dumping of the D party without wanting to recruit her into the R party. that's where i'm at.
