Unfortunately, low I.Q. nitwits are falling for Tulsi who sees the Democrat Party imploding and is jumping ship. And if allowed into the Republican Party Tulsi would make RINO Mitt Romney look like a piker.

Does anyone hear believe Tulsi did not realize the media attention she would get by her comments? Seems her plan to make herself relevant is paying off, at least among those easily conned.

Much of what you say is true, but I do respect her, and her service. I just don't agree with her on many issues.

She is NOW closer to a true independent politician, but she's still more of a big government socialist then not. I'm also believe she's evolving into something neither party has a slot to 'place' her. That is a true death blow to a political career.

They won't let you can't play football in baseball gear. Hope you get my point.

I'm all ears.

Gabbard may have quit the Democratic Party, but that does not mean she will ever join the Republican Party.

I agree with you; Tulsi has no Republican policies. She's never had any Republican policies, even though she's shared a similar stance off and on with the GOP on some matters.

I'm not convinced Tulsi has any further political ambitions, though she may.
By quitting her party, she becomes a non-aligned pundit, as open and willing to speak (for money) to conservative organizations who would never have hired her as a Democrat.

As an independent, Gabbard can wait out our changing politics while making a lot of money. If the political winds change to her favor after a few years, there's nothing at all to stop her from joining the Republican Party or re-joining the Democratic Party, to run as a candidate for high office.

Quitting the Democratic Party just opened a wealth of opportunities for her. Here are a few possibilities:
Tulsi now could be offered a Cabinet job in a future Republican White House.
She could be angling for a more prominent job in Fox News, which is also undergoing changes right now.

Or she could have plans for organizing a 3rd party where Republicans like Liz Cheney and Democrats like Joe Manchin would be welcomed. A Center-Right 3rd party that has no baggage could succeed in 2028, after all the wars from 2016 have finally ended in 2024.

Tulsi is 41 now. She has plenty of time left for her to get back into politics after all the geezers who lead both our political parties all shuffle off to retirement homes or the graveyard in a few years.
Will Trump, Pelosi, McConnell, McCarthy, Harris, or Biden be forces to contend with in 2028? I don't think so.

And in a few years, the voters in Hawaii may change their minds about her and see her in a much more favorable light.

Folks understand Gabbard is intelligent. I'm sure she is, and an intelligent young woman with big ambitions like her wouldn't want to leap into the mess 2024 is shaping up to be.

I'm not going to respond your long post but just the obvious one. Tulsi will never join a party with Liz Cheney or Manchin because them 2 are pro war and pro establishment and that's the #1 reason Tulsi left the Democrat party.

Tulsi didn't change, the Democrat party sold out. Back from 2000 to 2008, Tulsi would have risen in the party because the party was anti-war and anti-establishment but they sold out once they got to power like AOC.

Having Tulsi in the same party with Liz Cheney is like joining Hillary Clinton. It's not going to happen.

What policies is Tulsi "trashing" the constitution? that she is not a war monger. Tulsi doesn't control the media. That says more about the state of our media which is garbage than her. On the #1 issue on the wars she is 100% correct. That topic alone is the #1 issue for Americans and the rest of the world.

It's time for the Democrat party to look in the mirror on foreign policy and stop attacking Tulsi for calling then out. Tulsi is not on the side of power.

Who knows? Our opinions are nothing more than conjecture, and conjecture can be spun in many, many, different directions. Any could be valid or not.

I only threw out some possibilities that presented themselves after Tulsi quit her party.

I am not at all sure Cheney wants to pursue her political career any more. Tulsi may not want to pursue hers too. I wouldn't take it for granted they want to rejoin their parties either. Both are independents now.

There's one thing that makes a 3rd party successful: when it forms, there are members who vary in their positions within it. Uniformity kills a 3rd party like cyanide kills a coyote.

She's never been a Democrat. She was just using it to run. Much like Trump used the Republican Party.

Anyway, good riddance. I cant stand her.

As I said, she only used the Democratic Party to try to get ahead, probably because she'd have been lost in the crowd in the Republican Party. She's a fake and an attention seeker. She'll probably fade into oblivion now.
