Lol. If it were a socialist program folks wouldn’t be forced to put money into it. The problem is the government controls it. The free stuff passed out to folks who don’t work, don’t contribute taxes, are a drain on society, etc…, is a socialist program.

He thinks the Government has free money to give away. Unfortunately, the money comes from our taxes, and of course we will be paying for it for years.

Bingo…and probably doesn’t work to know that….and will endorse the huge amounts of free stuff that’s been handed out, huge amounts of money sent to other countries, huge amounts of money spent on illegals every year, wants the border open so it can continue, etc…

The Democrats favorite line is the "Rich will pay their fair share" But the rich, just like Pelosi have banks of Lawyers to shield them from paying taxes like the middle class. We don't have the luxury of having banks of Lawyers and CPAs to protect us like they do. We will pay everytime

It might be interesting to see the cumulative 'math' based on mandatory withholding/contributions had the program paid out ONLY retirement 'benefits'.

So we are getting back more of our own money, but still not nearly what we put into it. Especially when you account for whatever price hikes are coming our way in 2023...rising taxes, property taxes, green new deal, utility costs, rents, interest rates, inflation on food and other necessities, medications and prescriptions, healthcare premiums and co-pays...this 8.7% is going to be like sticking your finger in the hole of a dam while crumbles all around you.
