Houses in Pacific Heights are weird. What looks like the front door may not be the front door, so I'll try again: police walked around the house from its street-level facade to an elevated patio where there were three sets of French doors set into a bay. That's where the suspect broke a window in one of the doors and also where a set of open but undamaged doors indicate police were admitted.

A clearer way to phrase that would be main door, rather than front door, because it is actually on the side of the house.
