Thankfully, the perpetrator is in custody. Pelosi is expected to make a full recovery from his injuries. The Speaker was not at their home at the time of the assault.
Whatever your political affiliation, I hope you'll agree that an attack of an elected official's family is completely unacceptable.
What about calling out for people to confront them at every opportunity and publishing their addresses?
I hope that in light of these recent events people reflect upon that not so distant practice and how some rationalized it.
Whether this was a crack head or a nutjob etc. we need to hold ourselves to some level of decorum and not expose judges, politicians etc. to attack by nuts.
This goes for others as well, I remember when Spike Lee tweeted Zimmermans address....and it was the wrong Zimmerman. He settled that out of court but imagine if someone shot up that house?

It's interesting to read that threats against them have increased 144% in the last 4 years, and there are two others in prison for threatening this couple.
However, it is worth pointing out that the increase in crime is pretty much the direct and sole responsibility of Democrats like Pelosi. They have done nothing about crime except exacerbate it with their irresponsible rhetoric, cashless bail, and releasing prisoners from jails and prisons.
If you support criminals and cater to them at every possible opportunity, you shouldn't really be surprised or upset when you become a crime victim.
We don't have any idea what was behind this assault of the Speaker's husband. I jumped to the conclusion that the motivation was political, but as you point out, it could have been a random home invasion or even a targeted attack on Paul Pelosi. Impossible to know until there is more information. I'm glad the perpetrator is in custody.

The perp should be out by noon today.
