No that's not true. There is still debate, especially given the complexity of studying this issue.

Wakefield was never discredited, his small observational study was simply replaced by larger observational studies. One was done by the CDC, and there was fraud alleged there (that they threw away data).

There is a lot of shady stuff going around that. Personally, I think vaccinations due increase your odds of developing autism, but we need to do clinical trials to be certain. Observational studies are garbage, and depending on how you slice the data, you can get any result you want.

We should first address this point. Convincing millions. It's called mass hysteria. Hitler did it, Pol Pot did it, Lennon did it, Karl Marx did it .....

Today, we have the woke. We have the climate change activists, we have the open border folks .....

And we have the climate change hysteria folks. And we have the nuclear energy hysteria folks (usually the same same ones). Someone convinced an extra six million voters to turn up and vote against Trump.

So convincing people is not biggy.

No think about the climate change hysteria folks for a moment. Look at what they are doing. They are making things worse in their hysterical drive to save the planet. Chopping down forests to put up solar panels .... Forcing coal powered EV's onto the population using taxpayers money to do so which raises inflation. But we can't have nuclear and we can't have hydro because you know those things damage the environment. And those hysteria folks are not right wing.

I’m pro EV and pro nuclear.

The left’s solutions often go too far. Solar, for example, is much better utilized on existing structures IMO.

Getting millions “riled up” over a cause is far different than making sure they all keep a secret and tell the same story. Not really the same thing.

going back to the 70s i was a consumer of JFK material,at that time "conspiracy theory" assumed business/government corruption along with CIA/Mob stuff, it was not necessarily partisan to speak of, only with the advent of the web has it fully blossomed, reading alternative world theories give one a feeling of insider knowledge...a telltale sign of erroneous material is pointing to one group aka democrats...alex jones had good material as to JFK, but when he went web based and had to have new theory's all the time is a clue as to the information voracity

?
The majority of the scientists do not BELIEVE in global warming, because there are no facts to prove this theory. On the other hand, The Great Reset propaganda needs this global warming.

Oh the irony!

Dem conspiracies are way more prevalent than the right.

White supremacy is our nations biggest and most dangerous problem
Roads and the way they are planned are racist
Our planet will be under water in 12 years
Trump is a Russian spy
SC justice Kavanaugh is a serial rapist
Trump hired prostitutes to pee on a bed Obama slept in
Tulsi Gabbard is a Russian asset
Republicans will make inflation and the economy way worse if they win in the midterms
Republicans have a war going on women
Republicans hate gay people
America and all,it’s founders are racist and evil
Republicans need to be continually censured because they only spew lies
Republicans are semi-Nazis trying to destroy democracy and our country(Joe Biden)

Etc etc etc etc

I don't mean one-offs. Most people believe at least one conspiracy, a little. I mean people who think everything the "other side" does is a conspiracy.

Historically well-balanced, these days it seems to be a right wing phenomenon at least in the US.

They think the 2020 election was stolen despite every accusation that actually would have made a difference in the outcome being debunked, or just too ridiculous to even consider to begin with.

They think climate change (caused by human activity increasing CO2) is a hoax, despite no real disagreement in the scientific community.

They think EVs are some left-wing attempt at controlling the populace and lining the pockets of "green industry" (which is hilarious if you know ONE THING about the oil industry).

COVID is either not a big deal, to somehow the vaccines kill more people than COVID did.

Most of these and other conspiracies have SOMETHING accurate buried in them, which is then grossly misunderstood and/or blown out of proportion. I'll also acknowledge that sometimes the left (or just experts in the field) can be a bit uppity and often cause people to dig deeper, simply by not approaching the issue correctly. What gets me though, is if you think about just how much collusion would have to happen, how many people would have to be paid or threatened into silence, to make any of these true, it's mind boggling. These people have obviously never tried to get 10 people to agree to do something, let alone millions.

I realize conspiracy theories exist on the political left, too, (often involving military, war, corporations, or GMOs), but they don't dominate like the ones on the right do these days.

If you're wondering, I'm not a liberal. I'm a centrist who leans a bit right, but is no longer a "conservative" considering how crazy the American conservative movement has become.

Final thought. On the subject of climate change. There is a conspiracy going on, but you have to pick which one of these is more likely:

1. Governments and shadow powers worldwide have paid off/threatened 95%+ of scientists to claim that increased CO2 from human activity is warming the planet, in an effort to achieve the "real" goal of worldwide socialism and tyranny. Somehow, the varying goals of different countries' governments has not gotten in the way of keeping this conspiracy alive.

2. Several oil companies have, through both their own efforts and via lobbying politicians, have spent millions (billions?) of dollars over the last 50 years convincing a large percentage of the population that #1 is happening. The vast majority (but not all) of this has been done in one country (the US) and to one political party in that country (the Republicans).

Which of those two is more likely to happen?

You’re wasting your time man. Most of the people here are far gone.

The best punishment is to sit and watch when one of their kids starts rebelling against them and becoming far leftists when they’re adults.

That’s the funniest part of it all. So many of these leftists that they hate are the children of full on conservatives and one of the reasons they went the opposite lol.

The DNC is a **** show and gone off the deep end, but a lot of these Republicans are more vengeance-filled than God Himself.

White supremacy ultimately is what led Germany into WW2 and after losing the war their whole country was messed up. If America had a similar story and another country went to war against it, yes America would have to recover too. So in essence, white supremacy is a big threat. Biggest? No.. But still a threat according to the FBI website.

After the raid of Mar-a-lago, yes, Trump did conceal documents he was not supposed to and broke rules regarding ties to Russia.

Trump did hire prostitutes. Men with the wealth he has do it all the time. You don’t mix wealth, parties, and connections together and not have s3x happening. For a man who was supposed to embody Republican values though, it’s interesting he fornicated with a woman outside of marriage and cheated on his wife. To Obama’s credit, as many Republicans hated him you don’t think if he actually cheated and they had to the chance to air it out they’d keep it under wraps?

Most advancements for women happen under non-Republican incumbents. The cover is “I just believe the most qualified person should get the job” but funny enough rarely are there any when it’s left to a Republicans choice.
A man that says “women need to know their place” is 75% chance a Republican. Your average Republican reading this right now would behind closed doors say they don’t like the advancements women have made.

The party that puts a block on gays being able to marry is Republicans, not Dems. So it logically makes sense that one would assume Republicans hate them. Funny enough also, many Republicans who have been vocally against gays end up with scandals being caught with men.

Not all Republicans are Nazis, but if you asked a Nazi which party they’d vote for it wouldn’t be the Democratic Party. Do you agree? David Duke the former Grand Wizard, do you think he voted Democrat?
