I find that hard to believe. A 2 year old?

I have a hard time getting into my truck, and even harder for my wife, so I can only imagine a 2 year old being able to.

What a tragedy and it was so preventable with some common sense.

Kids can be taught to leave a gun alone but what does a 2 year old know? It is the responsibility of the parents to keep kids safe.

I don't know what is worse. Leaving a loaded gun out for your toddler to find and play with or leaving your toddler alone to play with the family Pitbull?

There are some truly accidental situations, and there are some situations caused by irresponsible parents. This one was the latter. When you have kids, it stops being about you..you have to think of the kids.

can you recite the names of innocent kids killed daily in chicago? not the 15 year old gang bangers, just the kids sleeping in bed or on a playground.

What do the dead in chicago have to do with this shooting? all killing performed by carelessness.... intentional and unintentional.

No, but I'd say the exact same thing about them. Sweet faced kids, gone way too soon.

I guess I'm not sure what you're asking?

So sad. I don't think anyone would want to be in the father's shoes right now.

How did a 2 year old manage to pull the trigger? Must have been altered.

My first thoughts. He will be beating himself up for years to come. It's bad enough losing your kid but when one's own - let's just say mistake - resulted in the tragedy .... Yeah, that poor man.

Never underestimate the ability of a little kid. I had 2 year olds! Makes me wonder whether I was hyperactive.

Yeah, but parents don't go out and look for doctors to shoot their children.
