So irresponsible and gives gun owners a bad name.

And e-begs on GoFundMe to the tune of over $20k currently. Absolutely shameless.

Investigators say they arrived at the scene in rural Johnston County to find the boy with a gunshot wound. Warren Bennett Oser, 2, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Detectives believe the 2-year-old climbed into his dad's pickup truck through an open door and found a loaded handgun in the cab. He began to play with the gun and accidentally shot himself, authorities say.

The biggest crime of all is that there are no laws on stupidity.

bad parenting just like the bad parents that leave their kid in a car to die in the sun. i see many selfish irresponsible parents that do not put their kids whereabouts and safety at the top of their priority list. i am sorry, but when you have kids it stops being all about you.

Leaving a gun out around children is even dumber than letting them choose their own sex.

Yep - happens everyday all around the country.

--------------------

As far as the 2 yr old - losing their kid is torture enough.

In relation to how we are letting people who purposely murder back on the streets, I would give a light penalty and send them on their way.
