Guaranteed, the House and Senate turn Red come Nov 8th. The Democrats failed to adhere to one simple rule in politics...people vote with their pocketbooks more often than not. Social issues typically take a backseat to economic policies that directly affect US citizens. Think the farmer in Iowa cares about Twitter layoffs? Elon for that matter. Cares about abortion when they can't afford to harvest their crops at a reasonable price. There are multitudes of reasons as to why the House and the Senate will turn Red, Biden and his policies are at the forefront as to why. Just remember, having the money to keep the heat on in wintertime, is a lot more important than worrying about hurting people's feelings.

Leftists’ logic

“OMG! The richest guy in the world bought Twitter and fired 7500 purple-haired-tattoo liberals who made $200k a year? That’s horrible. I am going to start voting blue now!!!”

This is what surprises me - Dems here complain about Corporate bail outs and the salaries of CEOS and yet they sit here and demonize someone for actually going into a company and eliminating the dead weight.

These execs are making millions a year and Musk will pay $200 million for their shares.

Uh oh. *Someone* is having a hard time dealing with reality.

Dorian, the only people who think as you described are the people who put "Vote Blue No Matter Who" in their Twitter bios. Republicans aren't going to be hurt by the Twitter deal. Get a grip. On reality, not the thing between your legs. You can let that go now.

The only thing that most people know about Elon Musk, if they know the name at all, is that he started Tesla and maybe that he's the world's richest person.

The idea that the fact this deal is happening will have an impact on political races that are finishing next week is ridiculous.

Nobody cares who owns what. It can be an interesting thing to talk about as a current event, but three months from now, Twitter's ownership won't be a news item and most people will have forgotten that the deal happened. It's certainly not going to affect who they vote for.

The OP appears to be lashing out because things aren't going their way for once. He took two unrelated things taking place right now that are upsetting him and connected them together to make a single thing. "No, it's not that my perception of the world is wrong and everything is beginning to be proven to be false, it's just this one little thing over here, and I can excuse that away."

The next couple of years are going to be very interesting to watch. The pendulum has already begun its swing back to the right, and it's got a long way to travel in that direction. Much of society won't be able to handle it. They're far too emotionally fragile.

....
Musk really didn't start Tesla.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tesla,_Inc.

TESLA:
The company was incorporated as Tesla Motors, Inc. on July 1, 2003, by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning.[12] Eberhard and Tarpenning served as CEO and CFO, respectively.[13] Eberhard said he wanted to build "a car manufacturer that is also a technology company", with its core technologies as "the battery, the computer software, and the proprietary motor".[14]
Ian Wright was Tesla's third employee, joining a few months later.[12] In February 2004, the company raised $7.5 million in series A funding, including $6.5 million from Elon Musk, who had received $100 million from the sale of his interest in PayPal two years earlier. Musk became the chairman of the board of directors and the largest shareholder of Tesla.[15][16][13] J. B. Straubel joined Tesla in May 2004 as chief technical officer.[17]
A lawsuit settlement agreed to by Eberhard and Tesla in September 2009 allows all five – Eberhard, Tarpenning, Wright, Musk, and Straubel – to call themselves co-founders.[18]

Ummm...No.

The Democrats got power and have P**** people off since day one.

Even at the height of the Abortion Issue a few months ago, in terms of concerns, contrary to what the MSM was pushing, it never even came close to being a major concern. Same with Student Loans, in fact, that one upset almost as many Liberals as Conservatives because many Liberals didn't think he went far enough. It's always been the Economy, and on that, the Democrats are sunk.

As for the Twitter Employees laid off. The only ones who really care about that are people who would have voted Democrat anyway. But not because they care about the employees losing their perk filled 200K+jobs, but because someone came in and said that they have to share their toys with others. If anything the firing of these Employees may turn a few people back to voting "Red" because they think their voice may now be heard.

pzzed at musk, so to spite themselves, they prefer to pay inflationary high food, gas and energy prices, enjoy the violence and support open borders which ensure the next terrorist attack on US soil and don;t mind fentanyl being the leading cause of death.

Perhaps a good portion of the voters are indeed dumb as a box of rocks???

Looks that way to our global and domestic enemies like biden, the state media and the democrats.
