^This. The media, the schools and tradition have long ago locked the republican and common sense democrat out. I would also imagine whenever there is someone that looks promising that could change things, they are stopped before they have a chance to start. Many of these areas are run by the mafia and they still are and they play dirty politics whether people like it or not.

For the first time I do believe there is voting fraud on a massive scale. There was a absolutely no reason the red wave didn’t happen. We have the most incompetent President in US history. We have massive crime spikes in all our major cities. We have uncontrolled illegal immigration at record numbers.

We have terrible inflation that is 100% the fault of our criminally incompetent and corrupt Democratic leadership.

Only Florida with its highly efficient voting system actually showed up for the people.

These are sad days.

A lot of what Republicans cast as Democrat problems are really just population density problems. As a place becomes desirable to live in, population grows and crime/housing cost/etc with it. Wildly successful cities just get their fair share of problems that go with that.

so if policy doesn’t matter, then bring back broken windows policing and repeal bail reform.

This is easy. It is because the criminals and their families vote along with the sheep for the Democratic party.

Governors run states. Mayors run cities.

Why can’t you get your message out then?
Have the republicans abandoned those voters and just written them off?
It’s up to the party to present its reasons to vote for them. Could it be really really bad candidates.

Fox is pointing out many New Yorkers who would have voted for Zeldin (GOP) moved to Florida, you are correct.

Firstly, Pennsylvania didn't elect "the same governor." Same party =/= same person. Secondly, crime is also bad in Republican states. Just look at Oklahoma where OKC has had a major crime spike. They just re-elected a Republican Governor who has overseen a crime spike in Oklahoma. You can ask the same question: why? Perhaps because people know the reason for the crime spike is more nuanced than, "hurrr durr, it is the governor's fault!"

Cities have been crowded since there were cities. Reducing crime is not a mysterious process.

Indeed. This is child-like in its simplicity. It's how functional parents raise kids. You do bad stuff, you pay consequences. Not exactly rocket science for the rational members of society, and criminals certainly understand it to an extent.
