Republicans are apparently one seat away from gaining majority control of the House of Representatives.

So, I guess they are redeeming themselves already.

You're expecting something big like what came out of the Durham report on our tax payer dime? Millions of dollars for what? Nadda. You want more of that? Why?

Even Bill Barr said there was no need for a special council to investigate Hunter Biden. Who gives a rats behind about Hunter Biden? Oh I know, the look over there at the newest boogeyman from the right narrative.

Will Republican's redeem themselves? Not until they stop with the conspiracy theories, lies, hate, propaganda, and start getting back to working together across the isle.

Congress maybe red, but the senate can do their own investigations. Congress will be dysfunctional as usual. Why? Because we the people have been manipulated by people who only care about your political donation and gaining power.

I'm not on the left. I'm an independent who leans conservative and I agree with the OP. The Trump fanboys need to let go of their infatuation before the left completely tanks the country. We need competent conservatives in office alongside the liberals. They keep each other in check.

Trump is an anchor around the GOP's neck.

I think the main issue is GOP misinterpreted Trump's 2016 win. It was really a repudiation of the religious right in favor of economic populism. The GOP responds by giving the religious right their top goal: allowing states to pass total abortion bans, perhaps going after birth control, gay marriage, etc while maintaining economic policy that benefits economic elites over working class people.

So, in your case you don't want to know the truth? Happy to live in a bubble? That's your right, but when you make choices about things that are damaging to other's rights from willful ignorance, you hurt your community and possibly yourself.

Trump did not coin the phrase.

Redeeming themselves would be many more seats won, then just the hopeful possibility of winning one seat.

If only the Republicans could champion fresh ideas like that, Democrats like rj might consider voting for them. The only problem with that strategy is that the Republicans would lose all the sane voters in the country in exchange for picking up a few Democrats or "independents" who always vote for Democrats.
No thanks, to those so-called "fresh ideas"! If the Republicans embraced those ideas they'd just be Democrats then.
