In a weird way, I think they should be allowed to compete because it will show the woke crowd how ridiculous it all is. As they say a picture is worth a thousand words, and videos of trans men dominating women in sports will show people how unfair it is.
It's one thing for the feel good woke crowd to say that trans men belong in women's sports, another for them to see these trans men dominating the women in all sports. But then again these brainwashed people will still think it's perfectly acceptable.

When a white woman self-identified as black, blacks were outraged. When a man self-identifies as a woman, women applaud. Race is more of a social construct than gender, but the left doesn’t seem to understand that.
Fair enough, but for me, watching a bunch of guys with over-active pituitary glands spend 90% of their time taking 4 steps as they try and slam dunk the ball is incredibly uninteresting. I’m actually far more interested in women’s college basketball than the WNBA…college sports (men or women) are more interesting than professional leagues.

No, they won't see it. The matter of trans recognition has already gone beyond absurd, with the trans community (at least the ones with the biggest microphones) declaring that a transwoman need not even take hormones or do anything to be considered a full woman.

Where is this happening? Beyond the Penn swimmer who presumably bumped someone else out of a swim meet, I’m not aware of significant numbers of women who have been denied access to competition because their spot was taken by a trans individual.
So it's not a problem unless it happens in large numbers?
How about Laurel Hubbard, who made the Olympics at 40 years old, after taking significant time off and being a decade past the normal prime age? The 29 year old trans skater that beat out a bunch of teens in NYC?

No one is banning trans athletes from competing.
A lawsuit against the Idaho ban is now in the 9th circuit court in Idaho Hecox vs Little, that is a complete ban. 8 other states have a ban on participation in women's sports.
