Why don’t any politicians talk about reforming our LEGAL immigration system and making it smoother and more efficient to get green cards and LEGAL working status?
That would help the businesses that truly do need immigrant workers, and then e-verify works better and we would know who all these immigrants are.

The Democrats are advocates for reform but it's just a code word for amnesty for illegal aliens in our country already. If we truly need more skilled workers for necessary jobs then so be it but we certainly shouldn't be rewarding green cards and legal status to illegal aliens whom are only working low paying, menial jobs as they are a tax burden on our society. We shouldn't import more foreigners for those types of jobs either. Let them unnecessary businesses fold up and die if they can't find American workers to do them. We have far too many of them that have flooded our economy anyway.

If you watch News Nation, Cuomo says all the time that neither party actually wants a solution, because the problem works better for them, they have weapons to bludgeon the other side with, etc. He calls it "the game" and I am seeing it more and more.

To be more accurate, what Dems wanted in that bill was a path to citizenship for Dreamers, people who were brought here as babies and children, went to school here, and know no other life than the U.S. I agree these kids should have a path forward to stay here.

I wonder how licensed agricultural businesses will cope with this?

Why would it be a problem since there are unlimited visas for legal, foreign farm workers?

I disagree, why should these Dreamers benefit from their parent's lawbreaking and their parents rewarded for violating our immigration laws? It sets a presidence that all you have to do is sneak your kids across our border illegally and they are home free.

Don't know any other life? Lol, did their parents know our way of life when they came here illegally? Did it traumatize them? These Dreamers have been taught the culture and language of their home countries by their parents so that at least gives them an advantage to return home with their parents. Not our problem anyway.

Our own kids don't need the competition from these Dreamers for jobs and resources in our country. What would you do with their parents since they are the ones who broke the law? Come on, we know where this is going. They'd be allowed to stay here to because of the separation of families thingy. In other words it would actually be millions that would be allowed to stay here based on that. No thanks!

IDK, but it was a problem in California after Trump took office and crossings slowed. They had crops that simply died in the fields.

Then it it was the farmer's fault for not using those visas. Of course they were used to getting away with hiring illegals instead to increase their profits. I'm supposed to feel sorry for law breakers? I don't think so!

Who told you to feel sorry for anyone? We're the ones that paid most likely, in the form of higher produce prices, in any case.
