So sorry you are stuck in that place. Been there done that some years ago. I could have written all that you have said here, today and in the past.

Get some joy in your life. If nothing else listen to the Austin Lounge Lizards. They have been singing about the world we live in for years. Your post had me listening to 'We've Been Through Some Crappy Times Before'.

Your team has the Council for National Policy. And they don't tell us what they are up to. One glimmer is they have been educating teenagers for a couple years and it is working.

My state will soon have vouchers or something for school choice. That will leave the public schools with nothing but the dregs, and that includes teachers. Don't be sad. You team is winning.

That right there is precisely what my instincts have been telling me. The immediate trashing of Trump after midterms, which I pointed out certain culprits for it, (who the hell listens to traitor Paul Ryan?), and the big push for 'DeSantis!!!' all over the internet...

WAY too obvious. They are scared to death of Trump. So, that's exactly who I want voted in. They are not scared of DeSantis.

I see very bad times and it will get worse , not better. Banks failing for putting wokeness first. Higher interest rates will devalue properties.

Rents will go up as taxes on that rental property you rent goes up. Car insurance, homeowners insurance will go higher. One can only stretch a dollar so far.

When the buying power of millions of Americans is gone because of inflation for the necessities then all other products will sit in the warehouses and not move. Businesses are strained by higher costs. Many will no go to that eatery because it is so much more expensive and they will not have that extra money to even consider going out to eat. Many businesses will close and many will lose their jobs.

Every area will be touched. Food, fuel, all products will be higher in cost . That nest egg will lose its value. Stocks will tumble. Banks today are on shaky ground. We still have Biden telling us it is ok. The guy is insane.

We have dwindled down our own weaponry as China and Russia get emboldened toward us. Our military leaders are too concerned about skin color and Critical Race Theory.

We have opened borders. Spending out of control. Fraud and waste as the politicians are lining their pockets and becoming too wealthy to understand the plight of Americans who have to struggle to keep food in supply and a roof over their heads.

It can't be fixed. For too long Biden has strangled us with spending and damaging our energy sector.

World War III looks like it is on the horizon. When morons are in charge, their priorities are faulty and this administration has no experience because they don't see cause and effect.

In all my years I have never been so concerned by what is taking place in all areas of our existence. The United States had dumbed down greatly with no common sense in leadership in our military. We saw that when they recklessly left Afghanistan. I would never have thought we could look so much like bozos after witnessing the greats of Eisenhower. We have wimps today in our leadership and it makes me very uncomfortable. Get ready because I do not know what is coming next . I do know it is not going to be good.
I don't disagree with any of your points. I am 85 and kind of glad I am. Good luck to all you younger folks, but I believe your vote put this person in the office.

I can't help but see signs of bad times. Not just what may be ahead, but currently. I am talking about pragmatic things. I try to avoid thinking about the others so I can maintain somewhat of a positive outlook.

I mean things I can't avoid acknowledging every day, like roads deteriorating. This can be subjective depending on where someone lives, but I have never seen it this bad. Combine that with the average new car costing $40K+ now. A person's 2nd largest expense in life is being beat to death on these cow paths they are calling roads. Also, other critical infrastructure like water lines that are ancient now aren't being addressed.

I know it isn't "me" as I have talked to people who have either visited or have lived in 3rd world countries who state much of the infrastructure around the US looks as bad or worse than where they came from. Military veterans mention this too. I just want local, state and federal gov't to take care of the "basics" with my tax dollars. They have been ignoring that responsibility for years now.

Getting ready to leave for work now...kind of hard to ignore it all when miles of my drive will involve swerving around potholes.

And there it is!, just watched a documentary in which his own words stated such.
Biden is merely a minister of propaganda, reading Obama prepared material.

I do not agree with this. This is during the tribulation, and Christians won't be here during that time, according to the Bible.

Sound advice. Just think, had you listened to him 10 years ago, you could have a huge supply of staples and other supplies at prices from 10 years ago, instead of the over inflated prices of today.

Well. Seems that is indeed happening, afterall.

We aren't there yet.

If Obama is not elected, he may start riots complaining the election was rigged.
Turns out, it didn't happen back then, but it sure did in 2020, using the excuse of a 'pandemic'. The fact that so many still believe that BS is ridiculous. Gain of function, oops, it escaped the lab, well, you know, it was from some bat soup in a wet market, and let's really lay it on to get everyone to freak out, live in fear, shut everything down...well, except big box stores, but mom and pops will be shuttered and forced out of business, bribe, threaten, cajole to take an experiment in your arm, no one will be held responsible when you suffer and/or die, pretend to care by giving out money hand over fist despite the obvious loopholes that caused massive fraud that you will pay back after we took your jobs right out from under you, etc, etc, etc. Indeed, the governments stepped right in to play their roles, didn't they? Some were worse than others.

Appears he was right. It was much bigger than anyone could imagine. It is definitely a house of cards, and it is collapsing. Are you not aware of the hits on the stock market? That is happening. Are you not aware that this isn't a 30 minute sitcom? To trash on someone because it didn't happen immediately, is because you aren't paying attention.

Biden is a puppet. That demented fool is not making the decisions. He can't even walk up a flight of stairs without falling. He can't get through a speech without screwing it up. Half the time, he doesn't seem to know where he is or who he is talking to. You think he's actually running the country? NAIVE! We all know damn good and well this is nothing but Clown Shoe's 3rd term.

Hope and Change - and no one ever asked him what he meant by that. Hope for what? Your hope or our hope? Change what, exactly?

ALL of those posts are over ten years old. Think about that. Rinse. Repeat.
You think about that. Except for the police state, (the way he was describing it), everything else has indeed happened. Maybe, instead of mocking him for 10 years, you should have listened.

He hates us and he wants to level the playing field for other countries by taking us down. All of the current race stuff started under Obama. He had the opportunity to make things better and he took a different path - on purpose.

And unfortunately, now that the Obama/Biden/Marxist machine is in motion, I don't think we will ever be able to change course by voting. They will simply cheat and there is nothing we can do about it.
I agree Obama and Michelle pushed the racist movement into high gear and it has exploded with Woke, transgender, non-binary and the whack-a-doodles brainwashing students.

I feel sorry for future generations yet I see no future for the US as a global leader or land of the free.

The administration is people who are not only inept but totally unqualified for their positions. The world is laughing while Biden is lost in space.

I see a huge depression unlike anything in history.

Fortunately, there are now many who realize media is used to drive false narratives.
Unfortunately, this country is heading the route of Cuba; by default and geopolitics.
We have tons of oil, which could be a saving future grace; in that the price will be much higher...if and when we exploit it.

I've come to understand that unhappy people generally decide reasons for their unhappiness lie outside themselves, and they're pretty good at blaming other factors and other people, even people they don't know and will never meet.

There's discontent, disappointment with one's lot in life, victimhood, and endless projections. It's rife on these threads, perhaps it's a magnet and reinforcement mechanism, with shared misery and getting spun-up.

Even if most of the problems pointed to were magically fixed, I suspect the unhappy's would still be unhappy, unsatisfied, bitter, etc. It's a mindset of external blame and not internal reckoning.

If someone is in a middle-age crisis of sorts, is in a maybe-ok-but-not-great marriage, hasn't moved up in life in ways they want or dream, are disconnected and don't have a tight-knit support community, and are not very content, there is nothing that can be fixed with the government that will assuage their malaise.

Or they can't pay their bills anymore, or can't buy a house or vehicle.
Many Americans base their level of contentment on the wrong foundation.
I'm actually a minimalist, but would be happy to see the majority scale it down.
Plus, fortunes are made during bad times as well.
