What was the reason for the drop, did it occur in 100 years?

It started dropping in 1300, dropped more in 1570 and started going back up a mere 110 years later in 1680. It dropped about 2 degrees. So the 2 degrees back up has taken from 1680 to now, 340 years. Not 100 years like most of you claim. So it took 380 years to drop and 340 to come back up. Where is this rapid rise?

"The cooling happened in phases, with an initial drop beginning around 1300, and a sharper and more abrupt onset of cold starting in 1570 and lasting for about a hundred and ten years."

Very little increase up until the late 1800's, the 1.8 F increase is since the 1900's and half that occurred in the last 50 years, so it is accelerating.

Regardless, there is no other theory other than fossil fuels driving the increase.

"It's accelerating!"

Except for that 30+ year period where global temperatures dropped, even with the steady increase of co2.

Relying on corruptible land based measurements, prior to the satellite era is foolish. And we've only had un-corruptible/reliable satellite readings for 50 years.

Even with all the Global Warming going on, this is great for Mankind! More food for us to eat, less human suffering, greater economic expansion, less wars (over things like food and energy to heat homes - except in Europe, LOL), longer lifespans (except for Drug addicts). Japanese life expectancy is near 85 years of age today.

What? No other theory?

Of course there are many other theories. For example: sunspot activity coinciding with drops/rises in temperatures have been recorded for centuries. Have you ever heard of the relationship of the lack of sunspots during the Maunder Minimum?

Stop measuring temperatures only at urban, heat islands. Pavement and concrete absorb heat and then slowly radiate it out into the air. Airports are the worst place to measure ambient air temperatures. The heat island effect makes those measurement chronically inaccurate.
