It’s amazing how one authoritarian leader like Putin can with impunity create such carnage on his own people. US military intelligence has publicly stated that some 350,000 Russian soldiers, mostly very young men, have been killed in war with the Ukraine. For instance during WWII the United States incurred some 400,000 combat casualties.

Swedes had no problems attacking Afghanistan.

Of course, the times of Charles XII of Sweden when the country was a major power in Europe have long gone.
