There have been several recent violent crimes and that is what get's people attention, Fox News showed that attack on NYPD about 2,000 times a day and it has an effect. We have always had violent crime in the subway but overall the numbers are down, Dun is correct.
What's quite hilarious is that you continue to try and gaslight people by trying to convince people(perhaps yourself as well) that crime really isn't that bad and Fox News is the reason the governor is sending the National Guard. Even though you have been shown several times how it is being widely reported and people can see what is happening before their eyes.

Exactly this. The fact that the National Guard was deployed, pretty much negates and kind of denial that the issue isn't that bad, or Fox news is to blame. It's that simple.
Weren't we told that crime is down or that it's always been like this?
Yes, "crime is down" because they downgrade felonies to misdemeanors or zero, and never prosecute the awful people who commit the crimes. Yes, crime is down in the delusional world of Xoe Xiden and his fiends.
Meanwhile apparently even the left/liberal geniuses are beginning to discover there's a wee bit of a problem when you let criminals run rampant. Who would've thought?

Yeah, this is obviously all the fault of the wascawwy wepubwicans!
Pretty funny how Trump wanted to do this and they called him racist and tons of names.
Whats the point of the national guard if someone commits a crime they are not going to charge them? Did a terrorist slipped through our open borders and they are concerned about it?
I thought their primary purpose there was to help stop crime in/on the subway system. The policy/presence didn't stop a person from being pushed into a subway car today. Domestic dispute ends with woman being pushing into subway car.
Well you should go find the subway crime facts for last month from NYC, not last year from the FBI
I already presented the crime stats, they are down although there were several very violent incidents.

You can tell yourself stories only so many times.
Reality tells the truth.
Why are you watching Fox News if you are a Democrat ?
Mostly Fox but also other networks, how many times did we have to see the beatings in the subway and the cops being attacked. The governor reacted to the public perception that the subways are unsafe but it is an overreaction and I don't expect it to amount to much, it might very well make people feel less safe. Memphis and Jacksonville are far more dangerous but it is important to instill confidence in the subway system, it's key to the city.
I watch a number of different networks for perspective including Fox, the different ways news is presented is interesting.
The reality is crime is down and that's not opinion, public perception is another story.
