More like the voice of last-gasp desperation. Given that Bush has been the proverbial miserable failure in almost every category imaginable, which areas in particular would you sharp-pencil types claim that either of two actual smart guys would have messed up even worse than a certified bozo has?

If McCain wins, there might be gridlock for the next four years, and very little will get done that needs to be done.

On the other hand, if Bothways Obama wins, then the country will definitely go the wrong direction.

America shouldn't apologize for voting for Bush. We do NOT vote for presidents in order to PLEASE other countries. The very idea makes me cringe.

We DO vote for presidents in order to do good things for us, the American people and our country, and to protect our constitution and our rights. Or at least I do. The man has done nothing that I consider positive for this country. He should be ashamed of himself and HE should apologize to each and every American. I find him completely repugnant and a dark blot on our country's history.

My husband, previously a Republican, now an independent (thanks to Bush) explained to me, "No one voted FOR Bush, they voted against the other guy."

Everything that Bush signs is passed by the house and senate, so you blame Bush for everything? do you really think the Presedent has all the power? i didn't say anything about others, I say we need a house cleaning and that the next Presedent will make no differance. it only takes a little common sense to see that.

There are a lot of very smart people who are lacking in common sense. We need common sense.

Brilliant. But why didn't you name any particular area in which Gore or Kerry would have done worse than Bush has? The claim was that common sense and reality indicated that things would have been worse under either one. Can't you come up with even one suggestion for how?

What we actually need is an example of how common sense and reality indicate that things would have been worse under either Gore or Kerry.

I think what we need is a paradigm shift. There are too many people thinking along the same lines, which has developed deep ruts in the same old road.

We need new thinking: We need a paradigm shift. We need the FairTax. We would have beaucoup revenue from illegal aliens, as well as economic growth.
