"Get a grip and let the Govt. do its job instead of giving it a free pass just to help the big corporations."

Our government is suppose to be by the people for the people. We don't sit down when our government says so. Hopefully it will stay that way. Once it's gone you never have that right anymore. Government won't give back or make previous rights available out of the kindness of it's heart.

1 a: a part of the organized armed forces of a country liable to call only in emergency b: a body of citizens organized for military service
2: the whole body of able-bodied male citizens declared by law as being subject to call to military service

Since discrimination is bad and women can be in the milita The American citizens have the right to bear arms if they so please.

If you had read any of my previous posts you would have seen my answers on why the UK and the rest of the world is in financial difficulties. America's economy started to implode when oil prices began to climb. The sub prime fiasco put the final nail in the Economy. This caused a ripple that affected the world economy. If you want to study this in detail i'm sure you can find all the facts on google.

I like how these Right Wingers use the word 'government' in such a DISTORTED manner, as if they are living in the old Soviet Union, where there was no hope of a MAJORITY VOTE OF THE PEOPLE to affect the decisions of the political leadership.

Hey, dude, this is America, not the Soviet Union. You can GET INVOLVED in politics at the local, state, or national level, and at the least you can VOTE OUT OF OFFICE an incumbent with which you disagree. The 'government' isn't a monolithic, faraway organization made up of uncaring, oblivious automatons (that is, non-human beings) that function without any recall by the people.

If you feel ALIENATED from the 'government', it is up to you to do something about it. You need to PARTICIPATE in the POLITICAL PROCESS. And, thank your lucky stars that you live in a nation where you can make a difference.

You are Soooo right parktwain.....No point really...pearls amongst swine and all that! In the UK if there is something that the people disagree with the Govt. over then a referendum is called and EVERY eligible citizen votes on the issue. eg. going into the EU.

It's an argument over big government or bigger government. There is a tipping point.....there is a point where government is too big. To bad once it's that big it's practically impossible for it to ever go back. Check

1 a: a body of nonelective government officials b: an administrative policy-making group
2: government characterized by specialization of functions, adherence to fixed rules, and a hierarchy of authority
3: a system of administration marked by officialism, red tape, and proliferation

- Medicare for all. When HillaryCare cratered in 1994, the Democrats concluded they had overreached, so they carved up the old agenda into smaller incremental steps, such as Schip for children. A strongly Democratic Congress is now likely to lay the final flagstones on the path to government-run health insurance from cradle to grave.
Mr. Obama wants to build a public insurance program, modeled after Medicare and open to everyone of any income. According to the Lewin Group, the gold standard of health policy analysis, the Obama plan would shift between 32 million and 52 million from private coverage to the huge new entitlement. Like Medicare or the Canadian system, this would never be repealed.

By the way I'm not a right winger....I'm an unaffiliated neocon
