And you dont work yours off?

I know for a fact you work harder then the CEO next to you. The difference is he makes a million dollars an hour and you make some pittance under $15/hr.

Yea....Im bitter.

Oh yea....I forgot. If you make one measly mistake, your fired. If your CEO friend ruins the company, causes the company to go under, gets hundreds of workers layed off, loses millions for the stock holders he is responsible for and in the end leaves another foreclosed empty building on the citys tax rolls......then he gets a hundred million dollar bonus.

Yea....Im bitter.

The market dictates what actors, sports players get - people paying for tickets to be entertained, if they suck at what they do, no one pays to see them. when the last time your CEO entertained you? Did he invite you to ride on his million dollar yacht? they make stupid decisions, get a golden parachutes, then get another CEO job - its like a rich boy club, once your in, your gold. CEOs, they are legends in their own minds.

That makes them even more money because suckers think "oh what nice people they are, I am going to see all their movies now". Publicity at it's best.

IMO, people who quietly use their money for charity without all the fan fair are the only ones that should be given credit for doing good with their money.

Kristine
Do you have any credible links for this assertion?

Actually no, I don't work harder than he does and no amount of money that he would offer me would not make me take his place. No thanks. So how can you say that you know FOR A FACT that I work harder than he does when you don't even know who we are? Believe me, I have made several mistake and I have been here for 10 years now.

Oh, and that "pittance of $15/hour"? Try $27.50/hour. He pays me well for the work that I do and I apprciate every bit of it. Life is to short to be jealous of what someone else makes. I just do my best and am happy with what I have.

Where do all of your get your idea of what CEO's make? The media? Seriously, there are TONS of CEO's that make 100 times less than what your talking about. My CEO of my company does not own a yacht. That is just laughable. He owns a condo and a mercedes. He does not even have a cabin for crying out loud!

I am just so surprised at all the hate for CEO's when 1/2 of you don't even know what they do and what they earn. Your just pissed at them for their title!

Kristine

It's none of our damn business what people make, or what they use it for. It is none of my business, for instance, to know what you do with your money.

So, can I assume that you don't mind a CEO getting a big fat bonus after he/she ran a company into the ground enough for the government to bail them out?

The last CEO that I worked "directly" for, made @ 100,000 a year. His "average" employee made @ 20,000 a year. Yes this was a REAL non-profit, and YES, this is "equitable". Making 500 times more than the "average" employee is (one of those words that cannot be said on T.V. ), or , heck, all 10 of them

I don't care what they do w/their money either, it is ADMIRABLE if they (meaning actors AND ceo's) actually help others who are less fortunate. You don't think that's admirable?
