That's the same slippery slope argument they use for interracial marriages.
Interracial marriage does not change the fundamental definition of marriage being a union between a man and woman. If there were laws in the past that banned interracial marriages, then I'm glad they were overturned.

GREAT point! Back then these SAME people would be using the SAME arguments against inter-racial marriages.....shows how SOME can not progress past hate and stupidity...

Maybe it isn't hurting anything. But neither is somebody owning a gun, putting a Christmas display up on public property or listening to talk radio. Yet all these are under fire by those who think they do hurt people or offend people. You can't pick and choose freedoms and deny others theirs. Or you can but it cuts both ways, you deny others some freedoms and they deny you some.
I am totally against gay marriage and polygamy, however if gay marriage is legalized, then so should polygamy. It is not fair to allow marriage for gays, and not Bisexuals who may be attracted to both sexes.
Keep traditional marriage the way it is--No polygamy and no gay marriage.
Ya, let's keep "traditional" marriage the way it is....with a 50% divorce rate

LOL! But I think all of these men would ultimately give you headaches. I can only handle one of them

Well, she knows of a guy who likes to use horses for more than just... err... traditional riding.
Obviously, this means that if gays get to marry, people will start pushing to be able to marry their dachshund!
I can deal with gay marriage, and I have no problems with gays/lesbians being married. But not polygamy, one partner is enough. The fact that young girls are being victims of polygamy makes me think worse of it. And that whole cult thing seems creepy. If young girls werent being forced into that and there was an age limit, then maybe. Just maybe.
Agree. I think those FLDS types in Texas are nothing but a sex cult, with massive brainwashing of girls/women. I wish there was a way to shut them down as I think they do a dis-service to all religions, and are nothing but a tax scam.

Yes, complete strangers may marry, there is no law that says you have to know each other.
Yes, people marry for financial reasons...like being able to have health insurance.
Putting up a R E L I G I O U S Christmas display on P U B L I C property is wrong.
I haven't seen talk radio under fire...just some things said on it.
Not according to the First Amendment:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Noooo! I guess being a horsewoman lends itself to hearing about the deviant, disgusting behavior of some in the horseworld. A very famous Grand Prix stallion and his owner (male) have an .... unusual relationship. A drama in the horseworld for a couple of years now - stallion was even kidnapped to save it from his owner.
Now let's list all the straights who had sex with animals....like the guy in Wisconsin who "fell in love" with a dead deer....and there's more...so that twisted argument is ended.

I am not going to get into an argument about interpreting the constitution.....it is wrong to use PUBLIC land to display RELIGIOUS symbols....and the LAW has backed me up in many cases.
You must be one of those "shove your religion down everyone else's throat and trample over everyone else's rights" types...
