Pregnancy doesn't "just happen." That's a crock of crap.

Too often pregnancy is a direct result of people who shouldn't be having sex, having sex without any contraceptives. What the heck, after all? If she gets pregnant she can just have an abortion - paid for by the government - or have another baby, and get more aid money.

I agree with you about contraceptives. However, we can't punish a pregnant mother without the means to obtain healthcare by not helping her. That is often a death sentence to mother or baby or sometimes both.

I cover anesthesia call in a high risk OB center. What I have seen happen because the mother had no health insurance and therefore no prenatal care is heartbreaking.

So let's just throw more money at these kids who are piling stupid decisions on stupid decisions, shall we?

Let's give the pregnant girl free healthcare, but allow her to continue to go out drinking, smoking, doing drugs, and having sex with whomever comes along - regardless of how many STDs "mister walking penis" might have. After all, that free healthcare is going to guarantee a healthy baby.

It just happened in the Palin family..no doubt because Bristol was not properly taught by her mother, who was too busy telling other people what to do, about the consequences of not using some sort of contraception.

I do agree on one thing..it might not have been a bad idea if Bristol had gotten an abortion.

It didn't "just happen" in the Palin family, so you can knock off that nonsense.

Take your tired, over-spewed hatred for the Palin family somewhere else.

Are you suggesting Bristol's pregnancy was planned?

No. I'm stating the obvious - and that is that you and your fellow liberals really need to get over your obsession with the Palins and whatever sex they may or may not be having. You're starting to get really, really creepy.

The election was 2 months ago. You can stop obsessing about the Palin family's sexual activities.

Agreed. If Palin would stop telling others what to do and teach her own daughter, some people might actually have respect for her.

I didn't start this thread but I think it raises some interesting questions..for you can be sure the taxpayers of Alaska didn't figure on paying for the out of wedlock pregnancy incurred by Palin's uneducated daughter.

No one - NO ONE, here knows who is paying for the healthcare needs of this child. Let's not forget that Mr. Palin is employed and may very well be covering the family with his companies insurance!

Seems many are just making lots and lots of assumptions here -
