No, when it involves spending six+ years, a trillion+ dollars, 4100+ American and 500000+ Iraqi lives, invading the wrong country and letting the actual attackers of our own country go unpunished, it is.

Again I don't think we should have gone, I lost my brother in Iraq so I am very aware of what can be lost because of war but again I don't blame Bush becuase everyone thought SH had WMD including other countries. Bush became the fall guy and that is simply not right.
Bush, and his immediate cronies, are the ones who had the authority, the sole authority, to order the guns to fire and the bombs to fall. Yes, Congress voted to let him do it. That is sad and disgusting but irrelevant. Anyone who thinks Bush needed any encouragement from Congress is either smoking crack or simply wasn't paying attention at the time. Yes, Bush talked/cajoled/bribed some other countries into supporting it--even though none of Iraq's neighbors, except Israel, supported it--but that, too, is irrelevant. Bush was the motive power behind this war, everyone knows it. He may not have been a sufficient cause of the war, but he was a necessary cause--something you can't plausibly say about anyone else except Saddam himself. If Bush had not been dedicated to the idea of war, the war would not have happened. Period.

The Lancet Study group has given figures of 650,000 Iraqis dead since our "invasion." We've used them in the past to make our point in front of the UN, but this time, since the findings don't jive with what we'd like them to be, we dismiss it. And when I say "we" I mean the lying group of thugs who just went out with wimper today.

President Bush's farewell speech was poignant and well received. He made his mark and his legacy will be the strength of our nation's response to terrorism.
He suffered tremendous personal attacks and persecution from his critics largely because of poor advice from subordinates. Yet he was strong and forthright sticking to his principles and relying on his great faith throughout it all. Even the new President expressed admiration for President George W. Bush's courage and strength.
President Bush was elected twice over formidable candidates each time. His popularity was high throughout his first term and well into the third year of his second term. He weathered personal attacks from hostile media which tried to brand him as intellectually inferior and a war monger.
The vitriol and hate for George W. Bush consumed the media during the 4th year of his second term and they regenerated that hate onto the masses through both the printed and televised media. Our nation rapidly became a hate filled population in which people declared they would "kill Bush" would "spit upon George Bush" "rape Bush's ***** wife"-etc. Much of the hate was through TV where so called political parody went far beyond comedy and hate filled messages both direct and subliminal filled the airways. TV watchers were fed a daily dose of hate for the president through reality TV and biased news.
Unfortunately both the media and the hate filled mimics in their feeding frenzy failed to recognize or ignored the good of George W.'s presidency.
They ignored the great progress the Bush AIDS initiative in Africa was making.
They ignored the fact that hostilities in Iraq slowed and nearly stopped completely so that US and Iraqi contractors could rebuild schools, hospitals and infrastructure.
They ignored the diplomatic victories that forced OPEC and other minor oil cartels to increase production and give US citizen's relief at the gas pumps.
They ignored the fact that President Bush was a master of diplomacy who could work with a Democratically controlled congress to get legislation passed. Only rarely did they defeat any legislation President Bush wanted. Unlike many Presidents facing a partisan congress there was never a deadlock.
They ignored that Bin Laden and his forces were trapped along the Pakastani border and constantly under pressure from Coalition forces.
They ignored the fact that the Bush tax cuts and stimulus packages kept businesses open and people working.
Let us hope and pray that the new president does as well as President Bush!

25,000,000/4100 = pretty good odds for removing a dictator and an extraordinarily oppressive regime. No one want's any lives lost but thinking freedom will just happen with blank stares on your face is your problem not mine.
500,000.... Yup Bush killed all those people...not the suicide bombers, natural causes, accidents or any other possible causes. Yup every single death that happened around the world on Bush's watch is his fault. Do you hold the same high regards for Obama?
I don't know how many time we need to go over geographical location coupled with military stances before it soaks in so I won't go there again. But only a bumbling fool would look at a map of the Mideast and not see the correlation of Iraq and Afghanistan and their surrounding states and not be able to add 2 + 2=
