Did you read the link?

The point being made was about how racism may be a possible contributor to the Black infant mortality rate because of the stress that can come with racism or the perception of a more difficult life due to racism and how this puts stress on pregnant Black women complicating their pregnancies.

I've read that even when Black women receive good medical care during pregnancy they still have a higher infant mortality rate than white women. Is race related stress a possible factor?

Hmm...let's all get together and think of more contrived things to blame on "whitey".

Umm...to answer your question: No.

These "studies" if you can call them that would blame me personally for slavery, 3rd world hunger, aids, and now the deaths of black American babies. Doh!

See a doctor about your white liberal guilt.

Connecting this to the stress that can come with race is just a theory at this point but it's something that shouldn't be ruled out or be surprising if it's a factor.

Assuming there's some truth to this theory I'd think that just the awareness of it could lead to new or different approaches to helping pregnant Black women in dealing with those race related stresses that are more particular to them. So the important thing would be for more doctors to take this information into account when dealing with pregnant Black women.

Isn't pregnancy stressful for all women?
