We would notice an attack but what I'm saying is all the events going on right now are leading up to something. We are in a perpetual war era. As out country started out wars were between 30-40 apart, then 15-20, 10 and then there have just been continuous war since. I'm sure we would respond but the point is to not allow nations who care nothing for human life setup an intertwined plan throughout the world for an economic overtake. The shot heard around the world will be an Israeli attack on Iran's nuclear program. The following actions will all be results of reactionary stances to that attack. Oil will Sky rocket and we will be economically challenged even more and all those nations will enjoy larger revenues. IMO and only IMO it's imminent, even if oil prices rise on their own. Israel is still going to attack.
I'm critical of Obama's stance but I don't think he would get down on his knees so let me make that clear. His children do live here too....
Well you see, I think every nation cares about human life, mainly their own. So to attack the United States in such a manner as suggest by the OP would be tantamount to its own destruction.

There will always be idiots like Chavez, Ahmadinejad, and Kim Jong-il who have bigger mouths than they can back up. Again, this is not to say we shouldn't pay attention to them but like a child who whines a lot, often it is better to ignore the diatribe than to feed into the rhetoric.
Remember, it wasn't long ago that China had to close its borders with N.Korea because of the flood of immigrants who were starving and trying to get into China. N.Korea is one famine away from a revolution and the only thing keeping that pinhead where he is at is his populist rhetoric against people like us.

China isn't exactly playing nice right now either.
Somehow I have my doubts that China would rush in to support N. Korea. Not playing nice right now, but should their economy really tank (which is what would happen if we stopped buying anything) they go down with us.
N Korea's leader is dangerous, but I don't know that he has much in the way of outside support.
North Korea is now threatening 'all-out' war IF their test missile is shot down by the US or SK. Also, now saying that Iran has reached the threshold of producing an atomic bomb/s.
What will Obama do?

Even George Bush wouldn't be stupid enough to shoot it down. A war with North Korea would completely devastate South Korea and pretty much squander any hopes for a rebound in the world market. Risk vs Reward. It ain't worth it.
No, just that millions of people live in the Seoul metropolitan area and I don't think we should be playing sandbox penis waving games with their livelyhoods.
Also, where are the troops going to come from considering that the many troops in Iraq are being scaled down and troops we currently have available are being sent into Afghanistan?
The worst catastrophe we could have right now is another war. Especially a war with as significantly powerful a military as the DPRK. No one wants to go to war over what is likely just posturing ahead of a test that will likely be a dud, as the last one was.
