Strange, I haven't heard of any Democrats in support of the tea parties...the exact opposite is true of the Republicans. We even have GOP Sen. David Vitter proposing to make a law honoring April 15 as National Tea Party Day. Then there are such "non partisan" figures as Michelle Malkin, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh all supporting and actively promoting the tea parties.
No matter how the organizers attempt to frame it, these are obviously partisan events, a way for an irrelevant party to make noise and attack Obama.....
I'm a Democrat and I know a lot of Dems who are supporting it.
Of course you have not heard of us, we are not "newsworthy".
As to "famous/newsworthy" Dems being/not being in support - who cares?
This is not about politicians - this is about We The People.
Those attending the tea parties are not brainwashed ignorant wingnuts but actually know a thing or two about personal finance, making a living, creating jobs, and not going into debt and know that all this massive spending will amount to hyperinflation and high taxes for generations to come. You can't get something for nothing.

When do you see the media making a mockery of special interest groups when they protest - people involved in the Tea Parties are NOT a special interest group. They are Democrats, Republicans, and Independents of all religions, races, etc.
