i will tell you why tea parties are scaring the liberals so much. they can't fund their agenda without other people's money. the next logical step after a tea party would be massive withholding of funds (that are currently being spent indiscriminately) and that puts the federal government in a choke hold. they collect the money but don't want to have to answer to the taxpayers for how the money is being spent. we needed a "just say no to the federal government" movement and here it is!

Of course a politician is going to derail the TEA parties. They are supposed to be about Americans taking their country back from these politicians. The Republicans just jumped on board so they could get face time and pretend they are for smaller Government. They are all in it for themselves. They love it when bicker over the left and right. They love it when we call each other names and harass people who have different viewpoints. Why? Because it gives them more power. These TEA parties were supposed to be about all Americans instead it became only about politicians

Oh, so you think masses of people are going to stop paying taxes? Will they just shoot an e-mail to HR telling their employer to please stop removing taxes from their paychecks?

And if these people were truly worried about indisriminant money spending, why were they not concerned the past 8 years?

Don't like government? Move to the north pole, I guess. You pay taxes no matter where you live. Personally, I like paved roads, public parks, and police protection. But to the anti-tax maniacs, 1 cent would be too much. They want all the benefits of taxes, but they're selfish and don't want to pay their share.

No, not a non event..just a sad replica of a typical Halloween party thrown every year in the Castro (San Francisco, btw). Now those are fun parties and there's a whole lot more tea bagging goin' on!
