We had a crew of five guys here to day to cut down two HUGE trees ... a Bradford Pear and an HTML clipboardenormous Sycamore. Four hours of roaring chainsaws and a massive chipper going almost non-stop ... I am sure we increased our carbon footprint today!
I'm going to cut up some styrofoam cups to feed to the spotted owls.
Then, I'm going to melt down a Prius. I'll use the slag to cast a block for a Cat 3208 diesel. I'll use this in a buldozer with which I'll level a rainforest for a coal fired powerplant.
I celebrated Earth Day on Saturday by going to Earth Fest to hear some good music on a solar powered stage. I wound up passing out for a few hours in the beer garden from a few too many local, organic brews. Damn good day. And man, do I feel better about myself. We should try to solve all our problems with music festivals and beer gardens.
