I'm not sure how gays force you to change your life, but please try to explain it to me. Same-sex marriage is already banned in most states, so you can skip that argument.
I'm not a religious person so it doesn't effect me at all and I believe all SHOULD have the right to marry ,but people ESPECIALLY from the christian church believe the reason for marriage is to eventually have children ,and because a same sex marriage can't produce a child unless outside elements are introduced. So they disagree with it.

Yes, but he said that gays are forcing him to change his life. He hasn't explained in what way they're doing that.

I guess I can come up with one for him: The acceptance of gays into mainstream society is forcing him to reconsider some of his prejudices, and that makes him uncomfortable.

I would guess that most of the 38% are afraid of sounding bigoted (because the media has likened gay rights to ending segregation)

When it comes down to out we don't take well to gay marriage, thank Goodness.
For now more don't than do, but time is not on your side so don't say thank goodness too early. It is only a matter of time.

And it's interesting that Canerican didn't respond to the comment I made about what he said:

Those results fit perfectly with the fact that every ballot initiative banning same-sex marriage has passed.

Let me know which part you don't understand and I'll be glad to try to explain it to you.
