My wife and I are solidly in the top 5% - own several homes - and have no debts...and live very very comfortably...

So 45% of Americans are not "civic-minded" and you are OK with that?
45% of Americans don't make enough to pay taxes? No, I'm not okay with that. Guess that's what happens when the rich deprive people of making a living wage.

This notion that somehow paying taxes is a "burden" is obnoxious.
I feel it is a burden when I see how a portion of the money that I worked hard to earn go towards governmental pork projects and not towards making our country run efficiently. I guess you don't mind having a portion of your wages being misspent by our government especially as you live "comfortably". I think we all should pay 10% and with that, the "evil rich" that everyone is railing about will wind up paying most of the taxes.

You have a very serious obsession - you need to seek professional help...
Posting old refenences of MrBob - those that do not even support your point - are an example of someone totally obsessed with getting even with someone else.

How does the "rich" deprive folks of making a living wage? What about those on welfare, how are the "rich" responsible for that. Gosh! You guys make no sense!

But you can pay MORE and ease the tax burden of those who don't live "comfortably". You don't need the government to coerce you to pay more now do you?

Why do you do this???
Are you claiming that you cant take anything liberals say seriously, so maybe QUOTING them is out of line?

If paying taxes is a civic duty, and by definition, income tax is a tax on income, then anybody who has income and does not pay taxes is not civic-minded.
