no I do not realize that. I am a stupid Scared American who needs to see a Presidential Press conference go on for an hour about cyber security. Then I will stand up and raise my arms to the great leaders we have in Washington protecting us from evil doers.
First part... It took you a while to realize that. j/k
Second part... I hope nobody was holding a gun on your head to watch the press conference.
Seriously though, a press conference isn't quite the same thing as a press release. At least half of your worries should dissipate with that realization. You are certainly no expert on national security, much less have clues about how cyber security IS a concern. Quoting Norton security and firewall five hundred times isn't going to change that.
Are you one of those who would open a potentially tainted attachment to an email just because you have Norton security? Don't let network security folks at your work know about it though.

I was waiting for that response. lol
I work in an office with TV s tuned into CNBC. They carried it live.
I do not know why it struck me the way it did but I was bothered by it.
Perhaps this President is a bit overexposed?

Blame CNBC. The President is just doing his job, and I'm glad he doesn't hold the same tunnel vision that his predecessor did (or didn't do until 9/11).
"From now on, our digital infrastructure, the networks and computers we depend on every day will be treated as they should be; as a strategic national asset. Protecting this infrastructure will be a national security priority. We will ensure that these networks are secure, trustworthy, and resilient. We will deter, prevent, detect, and defend against attacks and recover quickly from any disruptions or damage. "
