So, you're telling me that Helen Keller (yes, she was a founding member of the ACLU) was an advocate of eugenics (or founded an organization with eugenicists)? I find it rather strange that she would advocate a policy that aims to disallow people like her to exist.

The ACLU wasn't defending her right to put up a nativity scene. A law was passed that prevented non-residents from putting up displays. They were fighting against that law. There's not one single case were the ACLU didn't have its own agenda.
