You think there was a crash. A sudden and unexpected bolt out of the blue. The housing market cracked in the Spring of 2006. Credit markets began to unravel in the Summer of 2007. At that point the administration had 12-15 months to isolate and treat the problem within the financial sector so as to keep it from bleeding out into the economy at large. They failed. Miserably.
the administration at that time was under congressional democratic leadership with a democratic majority, and yes they did fail miserably.
I am sure if McCain had been elected, he would have turned things around by now. McCain was an economic genius like when he stated that "the fundamental of the economy were strong". It is all Obama's fault.

But where are all of those jobs he (Obama) was promising when he was running for office? Hey, I'm just asking...
Even this dumb guy knows the President can't create jobs.
it was not a swindle. it stopped the free fall at crippling cost.
at some time some body is going to have to pay the bill, we will no longer be a rich nation.

McCain said that we were in for some tough times ahead and that some belt tightening in government spending would be necessary. He also said that this would be worst possible time to place heavy taxes on corporations and individuals.
That sounds very practical and boring compared to Obama's magic wand waving, I know...

Oh you mean when obama said the same thing a few month later than McCain after he was elected and everyone though he was Great to say it after chiding McCain for saying it

Thats right McCain wanted to put a spending freeze on Gov spending and take it from there assess things. Which is the responsible thing to do.
Why did we have to stop the free fall? Would it have been that much worse?
Letting a company, bank, whatever bottom out is better than propping it up. At least then you know where the bottom is and can start climbing out.
Nobama's methods have us all wondering if the worst is yet to come.
