I just received the closing date on my house (first time homebuyer ...yay) so I will be spending Saturday at Homedepot and Sunday ...starting the packing process...

congratulations!! I am kind of in the same boat. I am going to be doing some packing myself, and hope to rent my house out. no jobs where I live, and I would lose money if I sold, so I am trying to break even in rental income. have fun at closing, and if you are a guy, don't play with yourself the night before. you're gonna need that wrist strength for signatures.
Well, I'm an Atheist so I'll be out killing babies, being a moral derelict and talking good christian kids into becoming non-believers....
Actually, I'll be volunteering at the women's shelter tonight, Saturday is a long bikeride on the coast and a hike on the dunes and Sunday I'm hosting a potluck/game night for my grandma and a few of her friends at my house.
I'm on call so I can't go fishing. I jarred 12 1/2 pint jars with blueberry jam this week and it turned our yummy so I'm going to make more and make a couple pies. I've also frozen a bunch. There are blueberries everywhere!!!
It's been drizzly all week so we might not be able to have our beach party Saturday afternoon. Tomorrow night a couple dozen of us are going to the lodge on the little island across from the ferry terminal, indulge in steak and crab and celebrate the resignation of she who will not be named.

I'm proud of myself. Single(Divorced) New Jersey mom of 3 teenagers, two of which are in college. Holding it ALL down by myself. Once I close on the house, then its PARTY TIME...well at least anywhere that free...I'll have a mortgage along with college tuitions to pay..
